About Me

My spiritual journey began over forty years ago.  Like many people, I have lived through many difficult and joyous transitions in life. (Some were messy and some were graceful).  I have been a  practitioner of meditation for thirty years and a practitioner of Reiki for five years.

My Reiki journey began in 2002, when a friend asked me to attend a Reiki Level I certification class. Intuitively, I said "Yes", not really knowing what Reiki was.  When the Reiki Master put their hands over my ears, the  energy emanating from their hands stopped the ringing in my ears for the first time in years.  I was in awe of Reiki energy and received my in Level I attunement in Reiki.

 

Fifteen years later, I experienced an emotional upheaval. And I was led back to Reiki by a friend;  Reiki allowed me to heal and transformed my life. It was then I knew I wanted to share this gift with others. After a long circuitous route, in 2020 I was certified in Reiki Level II.   Two years later, November 2022, I became a Reiki Master Practitioner in the Usui Reiki system of Natural Healing, and in February of 2024, a Master in Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki®.   I am thankful to all my Reiki teachers, Mellanie Smith, Mindy Leone, and Colleen Bennelli and my students.

One of my core beliefs is that we can start over anytime ... whether it be the tiniest of changes or  monumental shifts ... from attitude, to career, to place.  Change is the one consistent aspect of life, and transitions can be difficult.  In one way or another we are always in transition, the gift is knowing we have choice in how we approach change and transition.  Both meditation and Reiki help me to navigate these challenges with heart.

Reiki and meditation have enhanced all areas of my life, allowing me to be more present, opening my heart to more joy, and embracing the gifts of those difficult life transitions.
